The Governing Body
Our Governing body is the main decision making body of Gloucestershire CCG.
It makes sure that the organisation is making best use of the money available and buying and developing health services that meet the needs of local people.
It oversees the clinical programmes. These programmes, for things like Dermatology and Cancer, look at specific conditions and how the patient’s journey through care can be improved.
The Governing Body also makes sure that there is transparency and accountability with decision making and supports localities with the development of programmes and projects to support local communities.
The Governing Body includes a Clinical Chair and Deputy Clinical Chair, GP liaison leads who represent the localities (e.g. Stroud) and lay members (members of the public who represent the views of local people and communities).
