The Clinical Chair of NHS Gloucestershire CCG has said that Governing Body members will be taking their responsibilities seriously and will be giving careful consideration to the consultation feedback before any decisions are made at their meeting in public on 25 January.

Clinical Chair of NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group, Dr Andy Seymour said:

“We would like to thank the great many people who took part in the ‘Community Hospitals in the Forest of Dean’ public and staff consultation and shared their views. We understand that this is a matter of upmost importance for the future of healthcare in the Forest of Dean.

The consultation, including the outcome report, offered real insight into the issues that matter to staff, members of the public and community partners.

Governing Body members recognise that they have an important responsibility to review and consider the information presented to them before any decisions are made on the preferred option.”

CCG Governing Body members will consider a range of points covering the case for change and key themes from the consultation feedback.

Governing Body members will then consider a set of recommendations, including whether or not to approve the preferred option of a single, new community hospital for the Forest of Dean.
