“The independent Citizens’ Jury is an important part of the Fit for the Future process and we would like to thank the jurors and expert witnesses who took part for their valuable input.

The Juror’s Report has now been published and we look forward to reviewing it in detail. This includes the Juror’s observations about the consultation process and recommendations on what they consider to be the most important public consultation findings.

We aimed to deliver a comprehensive consultation that sought to gather views from a wide cross section of the local population and our staff.

We were keen to go the extra mile to ensure we reached and received feedback from our diverse local communities and workforce using innovative methods, which responded to challenges brought by the pandemic.

We have demonstrated that we are always open to embracing new methods to provide opportunities for participation to as many people as wish to get involved. The findings from the independent Citizens’ Jury will be invaluable to us in planning future activities.

We are now in a consultation review period, where we will carefully consider all of the feedback received.”
