Expert clinical advice helps patients avoid hospital visits

Patients with Rheumatology and Ear, Nose and Throat conditions are now receiving expert clinical advice more quickly, meaning they can receive treatment from their GP without having to wait for hospital appointments. This is thanks to two new Advice and Guidance services for GPs which have been launched this month. ‘Be Clear on Lung Cancer’ campaign comes to Gloucestershire

The campaign’s message is simple: if you’ve been coughing for three weeks or more, go and tell your doctor. With around 115 people diagnosed with lung cancer every day in the UK, Gloucestershire County Council and the NHS are offering advice on how to spot the signs early. £2.3m contracts awarded to support carers
