NHS Gloucestershire CCG is a clinically led membership organisation (all 72 GP practices in Gloucestershire are members).

We are responsible for planning and commissioning (buying) local health services and support to meet the needs of local people.

Working with partners, we are placing even greater focus on supporting people to keep healthy and independent and providing more joined up care and support to people with physical and mental health needs in their own homes, GP surgery or community.

‘Place based’ care and support is already making a real difference to people close to where they live with strong Primary Care Networks (groups of GP Practices working together with local community partners) in place.

We are also responsible for commissioning (buying) specialist hospital services e.g. urgent or emergency care or planned care e.g. operations and treatments that can be planned in advance).

NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is part of the One Gloucestershire Integrated Care System (ICS). A partnership of local health and care organisations to help keep people healthy, support active communities and ensure high quality, joined up care.
