NHS Information Bus

The Information Bus aims to facilitate partnership working, offering information and activities which support self-care, health and wellbeing and self-management across the communities of Gloucestershire. The Bus is also a fantastic engagement resource to support our service planning and design.

During 2018, the Information Bus visited 137 community venues and talked with over 9,000 people from across Gloucestershire.

Supporting our partners

Recognising the value of partnership working, NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group supports the shared use of the bus to support active community involvement across Gloucestershire. Using our Information Bus enables us to reach out to local communities and visit events and festivals across the county.

In 2018, the CCG worked in partnership with colleagues from other NHS organisations, Gloucestershire County Council and local district and borough councils.  We also held engagement and awareness-raising sessions with a wide range of community organisations including:

  • Healthy Lifestyle Service
  • Citizens Advice Bureau
  • Forest Sensory Service
  • Independence Trust
  • Sue Ryder
  • Great Oaks Hospice
  • Patient Participation Groups
  • Pharmacists
  • Inclusion Gloucestershire
  • Barnwood Trust
  • Macmillan Cancer
  • LGBT+ Partnership
