Patients registered with The Culverhay Surgery in Wotton-Under-Edge are benefitting from a complete refurbishment of the building.

The renovation work, completed in March this year, has added an extra consulting room, three treatment rooms, training suite , staff room and a new patient waiting and reception area. The dispensary has also been updated to include a separate room where patients can talk in privacy with the practice team.

Senior partner Dr Richard Probert said:

“We are all delighted to be working in a more modern and attractive building, and anticipate that both patients and staff will benefit from the changes. The renovations are helping us to offer the best care to our patients, and, as well updating our facilities, have increased our capacity so we can meet rising demand and continue to provide high quality services for years to come.”

Thanks to new automatic front doors and a lower reception desk, the surgery is now fully accessible to anyone with a disability or who use a wheelchair. The car park has also been resurfaced and laid out with enlarged parking bays.

Director of Primary Care at NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group, Helen Goodey said:

“The CCG is pleased to have invested in this refurbishment and worked with The Culverhay Surgery to ensure the premises are fit to meet the needs of patients in the years ahead. We hope that patients will enjoy and benefit from receiving high quality services in modern premises.”
