Joint Seminar followed by decision on Health and wellbeing for the future: Community Hospitals in the Forest of Dean

Joint Seminar followed by decision on:

Health and wellbeing for the future: Community Hospitals in the Forest of Dean.

Held in public at 12.30pm on 25 January 2018

Forest Hills Golf Club, Mile End Road, Coleford GL16 7QD

Both NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (GCCG) and Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust (GCS) are committed to ensuring that the decision-making process on the preferred option to invest in a new Community Hospital for the Forest of Dean (FoD) to replace Dilke and Lydney is open and transparent.

Prior to GCCG Governing Body meeting commencing at 2.30pm, there will be a joint seminar held in public, starting at 12.30pm Forest Hills Golf Club between GCCG Governing Body and GCS Trust Board. Members of the Governing Body of GCCG and the Board of GCS will come together to hear the outcome of the Community Hospitals in the Forest of Dean (FoD) consultation and the report setting out Recommendations for Next Steps following the public consultation. GCCG Governing Body and GCS Board will then consider the recommendations as part of their own separate meetings.

Following on from the joint seminar, GCS will formally open their board meeting and will consider the FoD recommendations with a decision being made on whether to approve the recommendations, and will then close the meeting, after this item. Thereafter, GCCG Governing Body meeting will formally open and consider the FoD recommendations and make a decision on whether to approve the recommendations.

GCS Board will continue their board meeting in public in an adjacent room at the same venue. The GCCG Governing Body will continue to hold their meeting in public at the Forest Hills Golf Club. We hope that this will allow members of the public to be assured of our commitment to openness.

Members of the public wishing to submit questions, should do so, using the normal business processes for Governing Body/Board meetings. Only questions that have been submitted in advance and in writing will be responded to at the relevant board/governing body meeting

Please send questions to the relevant organisation by Wednesday 12pm on 24 January 2018.
